Most pro affiliates know all about affiliate leaks, but many newer affiliates don’t know what to look for and oftentimes merchants don’t even realize they have leaks.
I thought this may be a good post for n00bs who may be reading up and trying to learn this game on a Sunday. Tomorrow I have a great post about why retailers should not start an affiliate program until they become their own pseudo-affiliate.
Affiliates, sometimes you come across a merchant you really want to work with that has a big 800# commission leak. You contact them and it turns out they didn’t realize the potential problem the way an affiliate sees it – as potential lost sales. They see the light and want to do the right thing, just aren’t sure how.
Google can bring pay-per-call into the mainstream the way no one else can. Most people selling clicks will sell calls, either in tandem or as a substitute for certain kinds of advertisers.
