daylight savings bugSome say the Daylight Savings Bug won’t be a big deal, however there still could be some unexpected problems and for those that work with CJ there will be some inconvenience next week. Heads up to CJ affiliates and managers that don’t bother to read the alerts on the CJ admin homepage. The CJ system will be shut down for several hours over a 3 day period this week plus there will be reporting delays. In case you haven’t heard, Daylight Savings comes 3 weeks early this year which could cause lots of IT headaches and computer problems.

So I suggest if you have reports or banners to grab or any other work you need to do in CJ, do it before 6 PST today (Monday). There’s nothing more frustrating than having work planned, then not being able to get into your affiliate network for hours on end. CJ needs to shutdown to apply several Daylight savings patches, but as we all know, many times the predicted downtimes last longer than expected. May seem like a lot of downtime just to do the Daylight savings patches, but there is a lot more to it than consumers realize from an IT perspective. The pro-active stance will hopefully help avoid problems on Dday March 11th.

Daylight Savings Time Outage Alert Commission Junction will have two planned system outages to apply system updates:

Reporting outage: Monday, March 5 from 6pm - 9 PM PST -
then reports Delayed til 12am PST on Tuesday

Complete system outage: Wednesday, March 7 from 3pm - 9 PST

-The CJ Account Manager, account sign-up, and web services systems will be unavailable from 6pm PST to approximately 9pm PST.

Once the system is back up at approximately 9pm PST, both transaction and performance reporting will be delayed until approximately 12am PST on Thursday, March 8th.

Above info is abbreviated - log into CJ to get complete details here.
