Ever wonder what the average affiliate manager makes? How much do they make on the high end? What about OPM’s (Outsourced affiliate Program Managers)???

Sometimes when I do free consultations for merchants and advise them on how to start an affiliate program, I feel like they don’t quite believe me when I tell them a good OPM charges $3,000 – $6,000 a month, on average. Well now I have the stats to back that up.

Shawn just released Affstat 2007 charts showing the point spreads of affiliate manager compensation and OPM monthly earnings. The AMs earn from under $40K to over $120K with 40 – 50K a year being the biggest majority.

OPMs earned from $2,000 to over $10,000 per month. The largest percentage of respondents say they earn OVER $10,000 per month. However I assume some of those are managing more than one program but I’m sure some are making that much on a single program if they are also getting a % of revenue generated. Maybe I should start doing program management again, on the side? Kidding… No Way!
