Super Affiliate Makes 3 Million in UK and Australia Markets
I was just reading an Australian News article titled “Redirected cyber traffic nets bounty for a super affiliate.” Of course I picked up the story to read it because it sounded like it was about parasites or adware, the way it was written. Turns out it’s about a strong super affiliate just doing normal affiliate marketing, to the tune of 3 Million + a year.
Several high earning sites are mentioned in the article along with some other high earnings claims and affiliate marketing stats for the UK and Australia. The article says UK affiliate networks generated sales of almost to $3 billion in 2005, which was up from $1 billion the previous year and also says that the estimated size of the Australian affiliate industry last year was around 1 billion. Anyway could be some good info and sites to look at if you are a UK or Australian affiliate marketer.
“His business, Venturian Media, involves building and marketing websites that do little more than redirect internet traffic to other companies’ products and services.
Yet last year, Venturian turned over pound stg. 1.2 million ($3 million) in Britain and Travill expects to generate similar revenue this year from the Australian arm of the business, which he moved here to run.
Venturian is what’s known as a super-affiliate, a type of internet intermediary that’s well-established in Britain but has only begun to emerge in Australia over the past year with the rise of affiliate marketing networks such as dgm Australia and Commission Monster.”
