Ringtone affiliate programs were red hot for awhile, made popular by Jeremy Shoemaker AKA ShoeMoney also known as the RingTone King on MySpace. Jeremy talked openly about his success in this niche market, primarily at 1st promoting AzoogleAds ringtone offers. Due in part to Jeremy’s openness about the money he made in this space, a ton of affiliates flooded the market and now ringtone affiliates are not making the big cha ching like they once were. The ringtone industry isn’t going to die overnight, but it will shrink sooner rather than later because Apple’s iPhone is just the first iPhone device, not the last. In a year or two when the iPhone Nano and the iPhone Shuffle are released, they will be smaller, cheaper, more mass-market devices.
