It was 3+ years in the making. I think this post is the first overall positive blog post, comment or forum post about CJ which I ever did (or can recall).

It was usually always something bad or something good followed by "but..." that I had tao say about them, but (hehe).... it seems that the Web Services for CJ are still as much beta as they used to.

The Forum starts already with threads piling up about issues with the services rather than successful tests or implementations.

... but CJ is responding to issues (in public) as you can see here.

The last time when I saw that was around 2002/2003 when Todd Crawford was still responding to affiliates in the larger affiliate forums. That stopped at some point in 2003 and CJ remained silent since then until now.

Kudos where kudos are justified.
CJ's competition is "cooking" too. I am looking for some exciting new developments in affiliate marketing over the next 4-6 months. It was much too less innovation happening in affiliate marketing lately IMO.

For the ones that like to jump into this new stuff, have a look at my Web Services Resources for Developers, Affiliate Program APIs and Web Services and last but not least my article XML Datafeeds and Webservices for Affiliates. Webservices.XML.com which is managed by O'Reilly is also a good source of information to this topic.

Cheers,
