Flickrpreneur - Affiliate Marketing with Flickr PLUS Mini Review of the Threadless Affiliate Program
We all know how popular and powerful product placement selling is on TV. Well here are some creative affiliates that are using the concept very tastefully and effectively on Flickr. I love think-outside-the-box marketing concepts and am also a very visual person, so no wonder I got such a kick out of this idea. Now I’m not suggesting AT ALL that affiliates go out and spam Flickr with ads, but if you are into photography and are creative… well it’s a cool idea.
Terry over at the SuperAff blog wrote about Flickrpreneur: Using Affiliate Programs which was a story she got from Ozgur who coined the phrase and wrote the original piece: Flickrpreneur: New opportunities to make money with Flickr

Unicorns doing ‘it’ Tshirt from Threadless :: Hipster Doll Threadless Tshirt :: Russells Books - with image map of each book with a link to buy on Amazon.
Slightly off-topic, but for etailers and merchants reading this that want to see an online store that really ‘gets’ the Web 2.0 concept and is putting community in their retail site - check out Threadless. Here’s a link to the Unicorn Tshirt for example. Each product has a blog set up for consumers to talk about the product. This blog has 37 entries. They also encourage customer photos. Scroll down to see. I know Amazon has had customers reviews and pics for a long time, but I just really like the way this company has integrated the conversation into the sales process.

Where is the Threadless Affiliate Program???They call their affiliate program The StreetTeam and it’s very much another way to get their loyal customers involved in a cool “word of mouth” marketing style that seems to be working quite well! Street Team members get paid in points and T’s.
