If all this boils down to the fact that CJ is going to serve the same old Banner Ads and Text Links without doing anything else which is possible with this Technology (the stuff that makes people disable JavaScript), then it would be very disappointing.

If it turns out to be a cheap technical workaround to some Homegrown problems CJ created for itself when they changed theirs system in 2002 to use one link for several destinations, something any other network did not do, then I will be really mad.

Not only creates this a huge amount of unnecessary labor for a lot of affiliates, but will also create problems on publisher sites which were not a problem with classic Text and Banner Links.

Making CJ's Problems publisher problems is something publisher are not going to appreciate.

CJ's change of linking in 2002 did not make any sense from a business point of view.

It was something that took something away from publishers and merchants they were actually using because it was helpful.

What was the reason. CJ saved money on IT infrastructure. The Data were too much for them to handle. I thought CJ grew a little since then.

Or they have a genius idea that will revolutionize performance marketing and blow all other networks out of the water and ensures CJ's World Domination for the years to come and we will look back in awe and envy, because we were all too stupid to see it coming.

I for my part will not bet my money on the ladder :).
We are going to find out. I am at the moment more curious than anything else. I save the getting mad for the time when it is time for that hehe. Happy Memorial Day.
