PubCon 2006 in Boston was a smash hit (considering it was my first time attending), and the information one was able to pull from it was amazing.

While attending the Affiliate Site Strategies and Optimization session, Elisabeth Archambault offered some great down to earth advice for optimizing an affiliate website.

Make sure it’s accessible. The rationale being that if a disabled individual can still access your site without too much incident, so will the search engine spiders.

Elisabeth is a proponent for making affiliate sites that please both people and spiders whenever possible.

Also, if your affiliate site is still using tables as its understructure, consider upgrading to using CSS for leaner code.

If you didn’t have a chance to attend this year, fear not, there are plenty of recaps happening around the web. Just check out Garrett French’s link roundup.
