Affiliate Marketing - Targeting the Niche Hispanic Market Segment
I always hear affiliates talking about finding that ever-elusive niche. Well this is a pretty big “niche” in my opinion that does not seem to be covered very well by the affiliate marketing industry. Most affiliates, merchants and SEO’s just have not focused on the Hispanic market very much. Out of the 50 Affiliate Programs I represent, 21st Century Insurance, is the only one I am aware of that does have some affiliate banners in Spanish - here is a sample:
The Search Engine Watch blog talked about a recent study Nacho did about SEO marketing for Hispanics, however the information is important for affiliates and merchants to consider as well.
60% Of Search Marketers Should Be Targeting Hispanics But Are Not. “Nacho Hernandez released a special report on the Hispanic market yesterday that showed approximately 60% of search marketers are not targeting the growing Hispanic market.”
Marketing to the Hispanic Market - by Ignacio “Nacho” Hernandez Jr. - “The US Hispanic population, with its growing purchasing power and impressive growth in media usage, has companies scrambling for ideas and ways to effectively target this barely tapped market. According to TNS Media Intelligence, marketers invested 10.5% more in America’s largest minority in 2005 than they did in 2004. In the US market overall, marketers invested a mere 3.4 percent more from 2004 to 2005.
In 2002, the US Hispanic population officially became the largest minority in the United States, and it will continue in this position through at least 2050.”
