Affiliate Tracks are Back at WebmasterWorld PubCon, Boston
It’s great to see a good affiliate marketing track at WebMasterWorld’s Pubcon again. The one I went to last November in Vegas hardly had any affiliate sessions – so not many affiliates showed up. Was just reading todays press release about the event and looking at the session grid. Nice line-up. Pubcon Boston is coming April 18-20th, 2006. All the search engines including Yahoo!, Google, MSN Search (Microsoft), and Ask.com will be there – will you? Better get registered!
From the Press Release – “For the Affiliates and Advertising track there will be a session on affiliate microsites and niche marketing, affiliate strategies and optimization, podcasting and RSS feeds. In addition, there will be a sessions on major contextual advertising programs, super affiliates in highly competitive markets, and a session on paid links – the risks and the rewards.”
Here are some of the specific seminars targeted to affiliate marketing: Affiliate Microsites and Niche Marketing, Affiliate Site Strategies and Optimization, Super Affiliates In Highly Competitive Markets. Love the description for the last one: “Initially you were working as a marketing arm for the vendor. Then you and the vendor are working hand in hand to get more clients and split the revenues. Finally, the vendor is working for you as an operational sales and fulfillment on a cost + basis.” When you think about it. super affiliates really can turn the tables on the old model!
