I was talking online to Nick Wilson from Performancing about his new FireFox plug-in for blogging yesterday right before he released it. I’ve gotten in the habit of blogging in WordPress, which is not the easiest or fastest way to do it. I know there are better ways, I’m just an old dog that sometimes doe not get around to trying new tricks. It requires FF1.5 so I need to do an upgrade, then I plan to take it for a spin. Looks like it will save lots of time and make blogging easier. Here’s some tidbits about the new plugin from Nick at Performancing.

Well, despite falling asleep on the job last night, Performancing for Firefox is finally here! Jed and I worked all night on this, and we’re finally happy to put our new blogging firefox extension out in beta for your feedback.

You can see a bunch of screenshots and download instructions on the Performancing for Firefox page. Enjoy, and please give us your feedback. This tool will be built upon rapidly, and we’ll be posting more about how it works, and what we’d like to do with it in the future when we’ve both got some rest.

For those of you that have installed our new blogging extension for Firefox, here’s a very neat tip: Try selecting some text on a page, and dragging that text into the body part of the blog editor. Try it with formatted text, like this paragraph for example. Isn’t that neat?
It will also allow you to drag lists, headings and even images…
