The WickedFire Generation of Affiliate Marketers
I know lots of main-stream affiliate marketers that won’t go to WickedFire due to the nudity, language and flaming, however I read what’s new there several times a week – usually from the safety of my feedreader.
At any rate there are tons of sharp affiliates over there that are ahead of the pack when it comes to new traffic sources or marketing techniques. Much of it is black or gray hat but there is also lots of good info that isn’t.
Pace just wrote a good piece about WickedFire members and what makes this aggressive young generation of affiliates stands out from the rest.
*Advertising Disclosure Policy*WickedFire & Three Reasons Affiliate Marketers Know it All. Really.
I feel the same way now when I talk to this generation of marketers, read the message boards like WickedFire and here are three reasons why they know it all:
1) They are younger, brighter and more in tune with what is going on that even a generation before. Much of the industry is talking about what technology should be developed, what could be the next type of marketing – yet the guys on WickedFire, they are using and often creating that technology to optimize their campaigns years before major companies even think of it.

Often? I got there daily and I know there was a recent issue, but don’t recall others.

I’ve seen users reports it several times that their avg or avast or McAfee software was throwing virus or malware warnings. You can search Google and see the times it’s “reportedly” happened. Maybe some were false positives or something. Maybe I shouldn’t have said that though. I removed it.

I didn’t know about this forum and I work in the affiliate marketing field for about 3 years, so this post was really helpful
I’ll take a look at WickedFire and see if it is worth adding it to my bookmarks.

Yeah, Wickedfire goes by it’s name alright. Like an outlaw affiliate marketer’s hangout. I am a member and do get some good info but the verbage does get nasty at times.

Linda-
I know he’s a super duper star in the affiliate marketing world, but don’t let this guy push you around like that!
Maybe saying there IS malware is pushing it. But, you don’t have to be sorry about reporting the REPORTS of malware. If you read it, you are leary of it, and you want to publish it on YOUR blog, make like Nike and “Just Do It!”
I have always joined helpful, supportive, good natured forums, etc., but the controversy over WickedFire is interesting! I might just have to go check it out for myself!
Thanx Linda!

Matthew -
There is no pushing around going on – I shared my opinion, based on being a regular visitor to the forum.

Shawn-
Sorry!
That probably came off as way more of a shot than it really was!
