Vertical LOCAL Internet Marketing – HOT New Twist for Sharp Affiliates
This is one of those extremely creative and potentially very lucrative hybrid business concepts. It combines local internet marketing, vertical marketing and performance marketing in a new and exciting way.
If you are one of the sharp affiliates that’s exploring or even already doing local affiliate marketing, then this post is a MUST read!
I’ve been interested in local affiliate marketing ever since reading these posts: ShoeMoney – How to Make 41K a Month Setting up a LOCAL Affiliate Program and AdHustler’s Local Online Advertising Series At A Glance.
I’m also interested in local affiliate marketing because a great in-depth course is about to be released that teaches exactly how to do it. Details coming soon…
OK so on to today’s topic… local affiliate marketing for dentists… Hmmm… I found this particularly interesting since I used to be a Dental marketing consultant, wrote a top selling book for Dentists and used to do give seminars for Dentists on how to build their practice. Plus I obviously know a little about affiliate marketing as well. So my 1st thought when I read the press release below was “why didn’t I think of this?”
Now don’t go and copy this exact idea. This basic concept could be applied to so many different small businesses and various types of medical practices.
This new pay for performance Dental marketing service just launched. Here is a quote from the Nampora Dental site.
“Unlike traditional advertising and referral services, Nampora does not charge you based on the number of people that see your advertisement, click on a link or visit your website. We understand that, as a dentist, these are not the most important metrics to your practice. Nampora is different than other dental practice marketing services, because Nampora’s services are priced based on the number of patients we refer to your office.”
Below is a portion of the press release. I’ll skip any additional commentary and just let SHARP affiliates use their imaginations. However if you end up creating a new business out of the information I’ve shared, a 10% finders fee would be appreciated!
Nampora Brings Pay-for-Performance Marketing to the Dental Industry
(I-Newswire) April 6, 2010 – Rockville, MD April 6, 2010 — Nampora Dental, a dental marketing firm, is set to officially unveil their new pay-for-performance dental marketing service at the 78th Annual Nation’s Capital Dental Meeting, being held this week in Washington, DC.
Nampora’s service, developed specifically for the dental industry, is based on the concept of affiliate marketing, which has traditionally been the domain of much larger businesses…
Nampora’s service is, in effect, affiliate marketing for dentists; participating dental practices will be able to pay only for the new patient inquiries generated by Nampora. In order to generate the new business, Nampora will aggressively market the practice online to a local audience. The service has been piloted by several of Nampora’s dental practice partners in the DC area, but this week’s conference marks the official launch of the service to a nationwide audience.

PPC has gotten harder and harder to squeeze ROI out of these days…so I look to tool the find those really niche keyword phrases that can bring in cost -effective traffic. I really like rapidkeyword. It cost $70 but is really good at digging out each phrase with search volume and building a nice list.

Local internet marketing is an interesting concept also.
I came up with a great idea for a bar and restaurant the other day. I did not approach them with it, but I definitely see the opportunity.
Thank You-

Hi, great information! I’ve used this procedure a number of times already and i’ve had great success. All dentists should take note of this. Fast with a good end result, what more could you ask for? Thanks.
