Honda CR-Z Announces Affiliate Marketing Campaign
Hmmm… seems lately the UK is a little more forward thinking and creative about affiliate marketing than the US. Last week I blogged about the new Dominos Pizza Social Media Affiliate Widget that launched in the UK. That same day an announcement came out about a new affiliate marketing campaign for the Honda CR-Z in the UK.
Honda unveils new campaign as it boosts agency roster
Lee-Anne Crossley, marketing communications manager Honda, says: “Even in a challenging market, there are going to be customers who seek fun, excitingly designed cars – especially if they also offer an affordable ownership experience. With its striking design and advanced technology, The Honda CR-Z is a very likely candidate for ambitious and successful individuals; this affiliate campaign will seek out these individuals and entice them”.
I wonder if they will also launch an affiliate marketing campaign in the US? With the current state of the automotive market, you would think auto manufacturers would be all over performance marketing and I know some affiliates that would be all over a piece of the action for selling cars. Do you think Ford and others will follow suit?

I have always wondered why more traditional “offline” companies do not have affiliate programs. Of course their are many who do, but some companies are still moving very slow with regards to hopping on the affiliate marketing train.
Affiliate marketers should learn to take advantage of these types of affiliate programs, as the competition may not be as high, but the payouts will still be substantial.

I think others will follow suit because this is a great affiliate marketing campaign especially if it turns out that it is really effective.
