There is advertising tax news and some good new resources scattered around the web, so I wanted to do a recap of the most recent updates.

Hawaii – Good News! Hawaii attempted to overturn the Governor’s veto of SB1678, the bill that had to do with the advertising tax. In the end the House of representatives did not overturn it, so the veto stands. That means affiliates in Hawaii can rest easy, at least for now. North Carolina affiliates have some extra time to try to convince legislators in North Carolina to oppose the affiliate sales tax/advertising tax. The deadline has been extended until July 31! The PMA has more… North Carolina – Session Extended to July 31st
