Squidoo has marketers scrambling after announcing they are cracking down on spam, porn, junk topics, overly self promotional lenses and plagiarism. If you do bum marketing or article marketing and use Squidoo, you’ll want to be sure to read the link below.

There are lots of affiliate marketing lenses that could be considered “overly self promotional” and Squidoo definitely has it’s share of spammers and scammers. So I think things do need to be cleaned up a bit, I just hope good affiliates, or newbies that don’t know any better, don’t get hurt in the process.

You have until mid July to clean up your lens if it falls into any of the above categories. If you feel your lens is borderline self promotional or has too many links to one domain, you should clean it up and back it up just in case it gets closed down.
