without conversion tracking you might as well burn your money. It’s that serious. I know I was a total ‘wet behind the ear’ newbie a couple of years back and got burned. Fortuantely I survived and learn from my mistakes.

If you’re doing CPA (like me) then simply ask your account manager to place your tracking code on the sales page. With some networks like NeverBlue Ads you can do this yourself via your account.

Conversions are the Key to succcess. In my many years of PPC management and SEO, volumes are nice, cpc is important, position needs to be controlled, ctr may be good or bad, but at the end of the day conversions are king. You have to start with them straight away, determin a cost per sale or lead and then make everything else work backwards from what is acceptable or unacceptable. In fact, conversions are just the start of the real hard work. Then, dont get me started on funnells, that is another story..
