We were at a seminar the other day and they were speaking about social media being an important element of affiliate marketing. The question is if those keep spamming the likes of twitter, then the likelyhood of anyone succeeding is going to be slim as people will see a comon tweet and bypass it knowing that it is just spam… especially a problem now with automated tweets.

I think its vitally important to build up and act ‘properly’ in developing your online reputation in order to gain long term traffic and benefit from partnerships.

Its all too easy to try and shortcut but that will only detract from what you are offering or trying to impart and won’t enable you to build sustainably for the future.

Social Media is certainly a good method to use to develop networks and relationships in the long term.

Those people probably aren’t interested in doing it ‘right’ because they just may not know any other way. Your observation may be a niche for those who would teach others how that Affiliate Marketing is a business and not an emotional roller coaster.
Social Media is DOING a great job connecting people together and revealing our many sides. Being forced to reevaluate how we handle certain things in light of social media’s increasing prominence with consumers adds to our marketing tool chest and strengthens our marketing position.
