Affiliate Forum BUZZ - Weekly Recap of HOT Topics
Decided to switch it up and give the Friday Funnies a break. Since busy managers and affiliates that are productive, don’t have time to hang out in the forums much - and since I live in them, you can count on me to bring you the hot topics and important discussions that come up on some of the popular affiliate forums. Just had the brainstorm to do this 5 minutes ago so had not been collecting topics throughout the week like I will from now on. So here are just a few to start with.
$200 to enable datafeed access?!! “What is up with that?! No wonder us small guys can’t get anywhere with CJ. I guess that I’ll stick with Shareasale and others with their free datafeed access.” Some good comments and solutions re feeds.
Attracting and keeping affiliates Pretty good discussion and tips from the UK forum.
Pushy Affiliate Managers - I am being stalked! “But now I’ve joined one who’s emailing me twice a day trying to persuade me to add more banners, change existing affiliates banners to theirs etc.. Yesterday they even phoned me whilst I was at work (I work full time at a ‘normal’ job) to talk to me about more promotions & banners. There’s being pro-active.. and there’s stalking!!!!
What do you like about CPA programs?Larwee over at Geek-Talk started a great thread that got some interesting responses. “Since there are things people hate about CPA programs and people who hate them, there must also be some people who really love CPA/CPS programs, so I decided to start this thread to attempt to get the thoughts of some of those people. So the following questions are directed to those people…”
Actual dollar amounts earned from affiliate programs?“I would like to hear actual examples of affiliate program earnings. It is very inspiring to hear actual dollar figures earned by successful affiliates. Could you please provide information on average monthly earnings from affiliate programs, perhaps accompanied with information such as monthly web site traffic numbers, click-through rates, etc?” Allan Gardyne and others weigh in on how much they are making and how to do it.
NOTE: Next week I will be on the lookout for good posts so will have more to share.
