Google announced they are making some significant changes to Adwords. It’s hard to say how these changes could affect affiliates, but below two super affiliates weigh in with their speculations. 1st the Official Google Announcement:

First we’ll outline the key points, and then dive into the details:

* Quality Score will now be more accurate because it will be calculated at the time of each search query
* Keywords will no longer be marked ‘inactive for search’
* ‘First page bid’ will replace ‘minimum bid’ in your account

Jonathan Volk writes: Google Adwords About To Change The Rules “The basics of this quality score update is that there will no longer be a “Inactive for search.” Now every keyword will get traffic, although those who would normally be “inactive for search” will probably get one click a day or something crazy low.”

Amit Mehta writes: No More Minimum Bids…? “If the on fly Quality Score calculations also apply to landing page quality score, the results could be disastrous for affiliate who survive by changing their domain name and reuploading their campaign every time they get slapped.”
