Only one: That Linda would offer a full RSS feed

Too funny Chris!
You mean you don’t like coming to visit me every day???
Full Feed – Yep, all the scrapers that steal my content would have a field day!

Yeah, I guess you would seeing me around here if you did that
I don’t worry about scraper, though. Because of Google Alerts, I come across people scraping content in just about every vertical I produce it. But if they don’t have the passion to create original and compelling content, they also lack the ambition to build any meaningful traffic.
Scrapers really mostly on junk traffic and PPC ads. Scrape-blogs don’t take much effort to set up, but as a result don’t see much of a return. Sure, they generate enough traffic to cover the $7/year the domain makes them, but I don’t think any passionate and committed blogger such as yourself has to worry about them stealing an audience.
I mean, sure, it sucks that someone makes money off of your work. But it’s off of eyeballs and clicks that wouldn’t show up on your site anyway.
If someone really wants authoritative content, they’re going to seek out blogs like this one and never settle for a scraper. Part of the value of a blog’s content is the community that forms around it, and there’s just no community around scrapers.

Hi Chris,
True in most cases BUT I just had a scraper that was knocking me out of the serps and replacing my original post in google blog search and coming up in Google alerts where I should be. He has a low PR splog, wasn’t linking to my original post for people to even read the full post and was doing it with just a snippet. Hate to see what he could do if he had a full feed.
Anyone in the ‘biz’ is going to just come straight here, but people searching for certain keywords that are in some of my titles ended up getting his site and mine was no where to be found. I’m talking major phrases that LOTS of people search for on important industry issues, so it was stealing my traffic. And again, he wasn’t just getting listed or even ranking above me, he was knocking me out and replacing me.
He was a problem up until yesterday. I got him shut down, but it took some time and resources to do it. So some scrapers can be a bigger pain than others and I just really feel that offering a full feed would attract even more problems like that.

Oh now THAT’s a good one Adam!
I would happily grant your wish if I were the Genie.
But alas he’s the guy above and I’m just the messenger.
I’ll nudge him for ya tho.
