Beyond Datafeeds - Affiliate Mashup Store using CJ API
Wanted to let you guys know about a new script that launched last week. If you are datafeed affiliate OR have wanted to use the CJ API but don’t know how OR you simply want a fast, easy way to build a niche store filled with thousands of products - then take a peek.
With the Affiliate Mashup Store you can quickly build a niche store by pulling unlimited products from CJ using the CJ API. (No more messy datafeeds) The script also has keyword-targeted Youtube and Ebay integration. Additionally you can add static pages for articles or other info to create unique content, spider food and to increase relevancy.
Everyone is familiar with the BANS (Build a Niche Store) concept, right? You build a store based on keywords you select and it pulls from relevant eBay auctions. Well now you can do the same thing, but get a % of the full retail price from CJ merchants, instead of only getting a % of eBay’s auction fee. Plus many CJ merchants have 90 or 120 days cookies compared to eBay’s 7 day cookie.
Other features I like about Affiliate Mashup Store:
.: Self hosted on your server - You get full CJ commission
.: No ongoing fees - Unlimited number of stores
.: Pulls special offers - creates a specials page on your site for bargain shoppers
.: Includes several basic templates but is fairly easy to customize
.: Automatically pulls site searches & creates a popular searches KW list (great spider food based on user generated searches for hot products you may not even know about.)
I’ve been talking with Paul Heger, the developer for the past week and asked him to add some screenshots and a video of the backend so affiliates can see how they build and customize the store. He got them done within a day and addressed some of the questions I had in his FAQ, so now I feel the info is a little more complete.
Go checkout the Affiliate Mashup Store video and look at the sample sites. The web site, samples sites and the script are nothing fancy, so don’t expect a slick presentation. It’s actually pretty raw, however what the script can do looks pretty dynamic!
If you like what you see, come back to read about how Paul got some home cinema product key words listed on the front page of Google in 5 Days from a brand new site he built with the script. Paul writes:
“There are a couple of important points here. 1) The site has only been live for less than a week, and I spent a total of maybe an hour promoting it (by way of linking from a few of my blogs and creating a Squidoo lens, nothing spectacular). And 2) Many of the search terms which are getting ranked are new to me… by which I mean the site is basically generating its own keywords. I don’t know what a Panasonic SCPTX50 is, but at least four people have visited my site looking for one.
And the way the script operates is that any search term entered into the site’s search box gets an automatic permanent link. It’s self-perpetuating. Plus, because it grabs news feeds on the fly, the chances are high that the very latest cutting edge gadgets will appear on the site, along with ebay and adsense links for them. So you’re likely to be way ahead of your competitors in terms of ranking for new products.”
Let us know what you think of the Affiliate Mashup Store and if you try it, let us know how easy it was - maybe even show us your new site.
NOTE: Since I am not an affiliate I have not tried this script, so this is not a review per se, simply passing on the info. Paul and this script came highly recommended by one of the top CPA affiliates, who I know and trust. Plus I’ve asked Paul numerous questions and made recommendations that he always responded to right away and had implemented the very next day. So if I were an affiliate, knowing everything I know, I would buy this script.

The script is good. However, the right column in all the websites under demonstration is misaligned, they all dropped below the left column leaving a totally white space in the right column until the end of display of the left column.
