How to Recruit Affiliates – Leaders Share Top Tips
A few months ago I was interviewed by Revenue Magazine for a feature about recruiting affiliates. The article titled: Looking for a Few Good Affiliates was published in the January/February issue and was just added to the web site, so even non-subscribers can read it.
The 3 page article is filled with great tips from industry leaders like Linda Woods and Chris Sanderson, who are both 5 Star clients, as well as Angel Djambazov, Jeff Molander, Shawn Collins, myself and others. So if you are looking for ways to recruit more affiliates head over to Revenue Magazine – it’s a good read!
And remember I offer free consultations and am always happy to give tips and advice, so email me for an appointment if you are looking for ways to grow your affiliate sales channel.

Can you tell me, as an affiliate member, if we buy the produce we sell, do we get any commission? Is this the case with most affiliates?
I am considering a e-commerce business as an affiliate and looking at several. Appreciate feedback.

Hi Sandy, many programs allow it, some don’t. Check the terms of service to see if it’s prohibited or ask the affiliate manager if you suspect it may be a problem.
Hope this helps and best of luck!

I have to say that the one thing that will always erk me is the lack of thought and benefits put forth to fellow affiliates. I’ve been in internet marketing for years now, and the type of support and pay off for affiliates that I’m talking about it rather rare. Long lasting cookies and so are wonderful, but lets face that along side the typical benefits, affiliates won’t to be shown an easy route, get an unusually high payoff (commission) for their time and efforts, a hungry and untapped market, and support. Treat affiliates as part of the business and they’ll return the favor in tremendous ways! Also keep in mind that you can deliver great value to active affiliates by giving them the ability to take part in your business on many different occasions, markets and sectors…so offer a lot for your customers and trickle it down to your affiliates and give them big payoffs. Oh and yes, it was a great article thank you!

One more thing….
Forgot to add in the above post. Please take a look at your competitors, look at what their doing with their affiliates, and make the value to your affilaites and potential affiliates so much better! I’ll say it again, treat them like business partners, give them a real cut, and they’ll return the favor!
