How to Steal Other Affiliates Commission with Adware – Affiliates are Selling this Crap – I’m LIVID!
Checkout the screenshot below of a new ebook that teaches affiliates how to literally STEAL other affiliates’ commissions with the most notorious cookie stealing adware out there. (Pros know who I’m talking about – n00bs aren’t going to learn the name from me!) Scroll down to see how many affiliates are selling this crap!
I’m livid! Absolutely LIVID!!! I’ve called out rogue affiliates and fought with them on forums that were promoting this adware – trying to recruit other affiliates on their 2nd tier, to help them spread the “scourge of the net”.
In a nutshell I tell affiliates that even though they could make a dime off Z downloads, it could come back to bite them in the pocketbook by stealing their commission from other programs they are promoting PLUS it hurts the industry as a whole and EVERYONE’s income by causing more consumers to install anti-spyware programs that block affiliate links. Some quote “affiliates” I’ve fought with on the forums have told me “I could care less how it affects other affiliates or the industry as long as it puts money in MY pocket!” I can’t even hardly write this – it just makes my blood boil!
Affiliates recruiting other affiliates to spread adware is bad enough, the purpose of my blog post today is to rant about a new ebook that TEACHES affiliates how to unleash the power of Z to STEAL commission from other affiliates. Obviously I’m not going to give the name of the ebook or link to it. I grabbed a screen shot of the sales page that gives you the jist of what it does.

——————————————————————————————
Want to hear the scariest part??? It’s being sold with private label rights, so tons of affiliates are out there trying to sell it to others. When I Google “crappy ebook name” in quotes I get 1,500 results! How sad is that???
Many of the affiliates selling this thing, have no idea what damage they could do. Many of the newbie’s that buy the book will think they’ve hit on an ethical goldmine – an underground secret that will give them the “edge!”
This just makes me sick! < /end rant >

this is not only illegal but also prosecutable
it is only a matter of time before there is a crackdown as this information is becoming quickly known and those involved will more then likely be spending either jail time, paying fines or both.
Warning to any affiliate contemplating practicing these unethical and illegal ventures. You more then likely will be prosecuted for this. Do not join in these practices

I agree. Hope this kind of marketing practice just gets wiped out!

Has anyone considered forwarding information about this to the FBI Cyber Crimes Unit? I had someone overseas copy my entire website, verbatim, and the FBI actually got involved. This seems even more up their alley.
Linda, if you’re willing, send me all the info you can find about this crap and I’ll forward it to my contact at the FBI and get his take on it. I don’t want to post my email address here so let me know how we can communicate off the forum.

Hi dyzner,
Really you got the FBI involved?
I had my identity stolen by a HUGE Chinese fraud ring that applied to a TON of affiliate networks pretending to be, using all my personal info. They made a TON of fraudulent commission pretending to be lots of other people. I know because I went to far as tracking down one of their US mail houses they had cks sent to and getting her to hold and collect their cks for a month without forwarding to them in China as evidence for the FBI. I couldn’t get anywhere with the FBI. It’s like I was talking a different language.
I’ll email you the info about this and thanks for the offer to help!

Great blog. Do you know of any relevant marketing forums or discussion groups?

As a result of stealing like this you are liable to action being taken against you the same as if you committed a crime ‘offline’.
This is NOT gray hat or even black hat. This is just plain criminal.
