I think the feed add thing looks overdone and SPAMlike. I don’t think that is Googles’ intention for their program. You should feel free to remove feeds that take advantage of a good thing. Just a thought.

Thanks for the comments. I remember hearing about the Adsense for Feeds program and thinking it sounded like a good thing. But I didn’t read about it in detail and also have not seen the ads displayed until now. Even if I had, it’s quite another thing when you see other people’s ads on your site all of a sudden. Welcome to Adsense for Feeds. I’m not sure how Google would feel about this. I mean, Google did create the adsense for feeds program, so theoretically, they probably approve. They must have considered the fact that feeds don’t just get read in feed readers, but are also syndicated to be displayed on other people’s websites.

On the one hand, someone who is using RSS feeds now has the ability to earn income from the feeds. Before…you took the chance of having people never going to your site (where they would see ads), because those people were simply reading you via their feed readers. Now, no matter where people read the articles, they see ads.

That’s a good thing. (in general, if you like the idea of ads at all). Of course, it does look funny on someone else’s site. A feed reader is one thing, but this is another ball of wax. I guess it all comes down to whether you want to show that other person’s ads or not. I probably would not. I would find another source that comes without ads and use it instead.
