San Diego Fires Raging Out of Control - I May go Offline
The sky is an eerie dark reddish black. The Witch Creek Fire that started out in the middle of nowhere mas moved all the way into the city of San Diego. Thousands have been evacuated and huge neighborhoods filled with multi-million dollar homes have been totally wiped out.
I’m surrounded by fires, much of my family scattered around Escondido, Poway and Rancho Bernardo had to be evacuated. Some have lost their homes already.
The fire JUMPED the I 15 freeway, which no one thought was possible and now it’s in San Diego proper too, not just in all the outlaying suburbs. They are afraid it will wipe out everything in it’s path and keep going all the way to the ocean due to the heavy winds powering the flames.
I decided I should blog real quick in case I lose Internet connection again, have to evacuate or go help family. I’ve had Internet connection problems off and on since last night. The way it’s going I guess I could even lose power.
I’ll be checking in when I can, if I can. I may try to blog about the fire and if so, will add news to this post. But if I don’t blog for awhile, you’ll know why.
Please send your prayers to the people of Southern California.
Update: 9:51 AM Here’s a pic I grabbed off the news of some of the fires (gold balls). Several new ones just broke out that arent on here. I am the red dot. Lots of power outages. Mine has been cutting out off and on.

Good luck Linda … I am surrounded by fired up in the LA area, but your situation seems much more dire. The closest one to me is the fillmore fire and the Malibu fire, one is 15 miles away, the other about 30 miles. Today the smoke isn’t as bad, but yesterday it went dark from smoke at about 1 pm and we never saw the sun the rest of the day. Today when I went to drive to work my car had about 1/2 inch of ash on it. Good luck and hope everyone keeps safe. Just remember, homes can be replaced, people can’t.

Hi Linda, I hope you are safe from the wildfires. Watching CNN and Fox News from South America. I will be praying for you. I have another online friend there and she is ready to evacuate also.
