I’m sure every affiliate goes through boredom when continuously creating new sites. Being an affiliate is a lonely isolated business and it’s tough to stay self motivated sometimes. Certainly everyone wrestles with some of the same challenges Matt from the UK Affiliate Marketing Forum has. This is the start of a great thread! How do YOU stay motivated???

“I’m finding myself getting bored with my sites – only the ones that i’ve SEO’d and made unique content from and when i think of updating them or adding something i feel i’ve lost motivation a bit. Anyone else feel the same and if so how do you get out of this rut? Probably main reason being that Google will be the ultimate decider if it’s relevant or not (never mind that i’ve done hrs of research, etc)… Maybe i’m getting a bit lazy because the money’s coming in… also after trying PPC and getting very good ‘instant’ results has put me off doing the content route… ” (They do say that entrepreneurs tend to jump from 1 thing to another – blame it on the creative genius!!)… Read the rest and join in here.

Over at SitePoint, LeoWebDesign has a great success story about what self motivation can get you in the end. “This month it has been one year since I decided to try building my own revenue generating sites. It’s been quite a bit of work, especially the first few months… The hardest part is getting yourself to work on a bunch of sites that are making nothing. Once at least some of them are making some money it gets easier to be motivated…” How’s he doing after his 1st year???
